Donate to SCDA

Our patrons

This is an initiative for our supporters who wish to make an ongoing and important contribution to the running costs of our association. In recognition of their regular donations, our Patrons are given a seat in our ‘virtual’ theatre.

Groups, clubs or companies who are able to make large contributions will have a ‘box’ reserved for them.

Regular contributions from our supporters ensure that we can plan ahead with confidence, knowing exactly what funds are available to us. Our Patrons contribute a minimum of £5 per month, or £60 annually and these contributions provide more than £6,000 each year for SCDA funds.

We are very grateful to our Patrons for their generosity and great enthusiasm for supporting our organisation.

If you would prefer to donate anonymously, we will ensure that your wishes are respected and your name will not be made public.

If you are a UK taxpayer and eligible to sign the Gift Aid declaration we’d be delighted but please bear in mind that if you pay insufficient income or capital gains tax in the year then you must make up the shortfall in the tax to HMRC.

Leave a legacy

SCDA is a registered charity, and is not in receipt of any financial support from Arts organisations or Government. Donations enable us to carry out our valuable work supporting the amateur drama community in Scotland. From time to time we are in receipt of funds from legacies and, if this is of interest to you, please read on.

Find a solicitor

You can find a solicitor via the Law Society of Scotland to assist you with writing or amending your will.

Use a Will writer

Be sure that your Will writer belongs to a professional body with the Institute of Professional Will Writers.

Use our form

We’ve drawn up a form that may assist you in making a bequest to us.

Many High Street banks offer a Will writing service for their customers. You should contact your local branch or look at your bank website for further information.

However you proceed, should you decide to support SCDA in this way we’d be honoured and appreciative.
